Our mission is to help you find the best insurance products for your needs. We don’t just connect, we commit to our consumers and that includes respecting your privacy.

Who we are

This website is part of the Benefytt Technologies, Inc. family of companies and brands, which includes: Health Plan Intermediaries Holdings, LLC. d/b/a Health Insurance Innovations (in California the d/b/a HIIQ Insurance Solutions), HealthPocket, Inc., AgileHealthInsurance Agency, TogetherHealth, LLC, Total Insurance Brokers, LLC, and American Services Insurance Agency, LLC, among others. The above named companies are licensed insurance agencies. If you purchase a plan through one of our agencies, you may receive customer support and services through the agency or through our portal, My Benefits Keeper. Throughout our site(s) and in communications, we may refer to the companies and brands collectively as Benefytt.

When you provide your personal information to us, you are providing it to Benefytt, which includes the above listed affiliated companies and brands. We offer distinct types of insurance and services separately under each brand--from Medicare to Pet insurance and we use your information to better serve your insurance needs or to suggest services or insurance materials that may be of interest to you, You may opt-out of receiving marketing communications from one or all brands at any time.

While on our site(s), you may see links to other websites or you may choose to transmit information to another website. Please keep in mind that we control only the Privacy Policy on this site.

PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION

Information that could identify you, such as your name, birth date, contact information, and health and financial information is your Personally Identifiable Information. Some information standing alone, such as your zip code are not Personally Identifiable Information, but when they are combined with other information, they can become so—for example, your last name, birthdate and zip code.

If you create an account, use our tools, or apply for insurance or purchase a product from us, you will be asked to provide Personally Identifiable Information. To take full advantage of our tools and services, it is important that the information is accurate.

If you contact us via our toll-free number, you may be asked for your personally identifiable information such as your name or phone number, etc. We may use your Personally Identifiable Information to provide customer service, to market or refer products from one of our companies or brands, or request feedback. If you no longer wish to receive communications from us, you can opt out by following the instructions in our most recent communication (click "Unsubscribe" in email, text STOP in response to our text on a mobile device).

If you decide to learn more about an insurance plan by filling out a form on our site, it will contain Personally Identifiable Information, including health and financial information. We may also contact you to fulfill customer service responsibilities; these communications may include email and texts (if you have subscribed to texts). We do not charge for text messaging, but you may be subject to data charges from your mobile provider.

Please note, if you choose to subscribe to telephone, email and/or texts communications from us, you are giving your express permission for us to contact you via mail, email, telephone, automatic telephone dialing system, by artificial/pre-recorded message, or text message, regardless of whether You are on any Federal or state DNC ("Do Not Call") and/or DNE ("Do Not Email") list or registry.

Be assured, we use high-level technology safeguards. Once your application is submitted to the carrier or its administrator, they are also bound to protect your information in accordance with their privacy policy posted on their websites or provided to you.

PERSONAL HEALTH INFORMATION

In addition to Personally Identifiable Information, you may share Protected Health Information with us. This is information connected to your health status, including medical conditions, prescription drugs, etc. Because we are a business associate of certain health insurers and group health plans, we are subject to many of the privacy and security requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"). We protect your Protected Health Information as required by HIPAA and we will not disclose Protected Health Information that you provide (e.g. information provided on an application or in connection with a policy or a claim) unless one or more of the following conditions are met:

  • We receive your prior written authorization. Answers to questions about your medical history and physical condition are required by our insurance carrier partners and will be released to the insurer so that they may underwrite your insurance application. We will not give or sell such information about you to any other company, individual, or group without your prior authorization.
  • We verify that the prospective recipient is you or your authorized representative.
  • We are required by law to disclose the information.
  • The disclosure is permitted under HIPAA.

ANONYMOUS INFORMATION

Anonymous Information is information that does not identify you. It can include data you give us, like your zip code, age or gender (when not combined with more detailed information). We also collect data such as your IP address, how you found us, what products you search for, and how much time you spend with us. We aggregate this information to understand our customers and to improve our site.

Like many companies, we use cookies and other technology to collect Anonymous Information. A cookie is a data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive. A cookie makes it more convenient for you to use our site—for example you may not have to reenter information every time you visit. You can disable cookies, just follow the instructions on your web browser. However, without cookies, you may not be able to use some of our customized features.

We also use third-party technology, such as Google Analytics, to collect Anonymous Information. In addition to providing us web data, this technology enables us to deliver targeted advertising. We do not control these technologies, nor do we have a say in their privacy policies. Opting-out will not block all ads; you may still receive generic ads.

Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" preference that signals you do not want your web activity tracked. These features don’t have an industry standard yet, so we currently do not recognize them.

INFORMATION WE SHARE

We will only share your Personally Identifiable Information:

WITHIN Benefytt. A Benefytt company may be the licensed agency for your insurance search, an administrator for your selected plan or perform other services including customer support and marketing products/services related to insurance.

IF you authorize us to. For example, if you request we contact you.You may request such contact by filling out a form on our site(s), providing a response via our Chat function, or contacting us via phone or email.

IF you purchase a product or fill out an insurance application and request that it be submitted then we will share it with the respective product administrator, carrier, or carrier’s administrator for membership processing.

IF you opt-in to receive information from a partner. We may partner with third parties who offer goods and services we believe may be of interest to you. For example, if we partner with a third party that offers lifestyle benefits, you may opt-in to share information such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail with that partner. You will never be auto-enrolled; your consent is always a prerequisite; and you may withdraw it any time.

IF we collaborate with or hire a company to perform services on our behalf. For example, we may hire a company to manage customer email marketing. We will not permit these companies to share your Personally Identifiable Information or market other services to you without your consent.

IF we believe, in good faith, that we are required or permitted to disclose it under law. For example, if we receive a legal order that requires us to assist law enforcement, or if we are resolving a customer dispute.

IF we are sold, merged, dissolved, acquired or our ownership is significantly changed. You will be notified of these changes via email and/or a prominent notice on our site.

Anonymous Information does not disclose your identity or sensitive information. We may share this information with third parties to develop business strategies and build partnerships that enhance our site and services.

ACCOUNT CREATION

You may be invited to create an account, which enables you to access information and services quickly, often without having to re-input census and other data. To create an account, you must provide your name, email address and/or telephone number. You must also create a password. Be sure that your password is unique, do not share it with others, and consider changing it every few months to keep it secure. The personally identifiable information in your account is protected and governed by this Privacy Policy.

If someone calls you, explains the call is on behalf of us and asks for your policy number or social security number, you should beware. We only call a consumer if the consumer has requested the call, opted-in to receive communications from us, or we are servicing your membership. While we may ask for you to verify your membership number and information, we do not ask for your policy or social security number.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

If you contact us for customer service issues, we may first ask you a series of questions to verify your identity. Once we have, we may ask you for additional information as well as access your account, application, policy, etc. to best serve you. You are not obligated to share information, though it may affect our ability to resolve your customer concern.

If you choose to send us an e-mail, we will do our best to respond to your request in a timely manner. We may use return e-mail addresses you provide to send e-mails and to answer the e-mail we receive. We may forward your request on to third parties in situations where we cannot answer your question, and may also respond to your e-mail with offers or correspondence which we believe may be relevant to you. If you choose to give us Personally Identifiable Information such as your zip code, e-mail, contact information, etc., we may share this information with third parties to help answer your questions or fulfill your request. We reserve the right to use such data provided to us for any legally permissible purpose.

We also reserve the right to use your Personally Identifiable Information to send you e-mails regarding system downtime and/or changes to this Privacy Policy or the Terms and Conditions of Use and you are not permitted to opt out of receiving these e-mail messages.

SURVEYS

Occasionally, we may conduct marketing surveys or research to help us evaluate products, services, and the changing needs of our customers. We will only provide such third parties with non-personally identifiable information in connection with such marketing surveys or marketing research.

SPECIAL NOTES

We use industry-leading, soundly tested technology and protocols to keep your Personally Identifiable Information safe, and we comply with HIPAA security requirements. Unfortunately, no system is 100% full proof. When sharing your information, please take precautions--use security software, keep your software up to date, and be web wise.

Our site(s) is intended for a U.S. audience only and our Privacy Policy is designed to comply with U.S. law. From time to time, we may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new date at the bottom of this Policy and the changes will become effective when posted.

Your continued use of the Website after the changes are posted constitutes your agreement to the changes, both with regard to Information, including Protected Health Information, we have previously collected from you and with regard to Information, including Protected Health Information, we collect from you in the future. This site is not maintained by or affiliated with the federal government’s Medicare.gov, Health Insurance Marketplace website or any State government health insurance marketplace.

TogetherHealth, LLC, is an insurance agency & commercial site designed for the solicitation of insurance from selected health insurance carriers. Insurance agency services may be provided by one of our sister companies, including Health Plan Intermediaries Holdings, LLC, Total Insurance Brokers, LLC, or HealthPocket d/b/a AgileHealthInsurance Agency, which are all part of the Benefytt Technologies, Inc. family of companies.

If you provide your contact information to us, an insurance agent/producer or insurance company may contact you to provide more information about your Medicare insurance plan options, as well as offer information to help you enroll in a Medicare Advantage and/or Prescription Drug plans available from one of the Medicare-contracted carrier(s) we represent.

Alternatively, you may be referred, via a link, to a selected partner website, which is independently owned and operated and may have different privacy and terms of use policies from us.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area.
